I started my fitness Journey in my mid 20s when I was trying to find a way to deal with anxiety and depression. I used to comfort/binge eat when I felt down, and the gym has given me a way to control this. Being totally honest it’s great to “look good” and like the reflection I see in the mirror, but the gym also gives me an hour or so to switch off and forget about day-to-day life problems, I love the feeling of accomplishment I get from the gym and what comes from setting and achieving fitness/nutrition related goals. I’m now in the best shape/healthiest I have ever been, part of this is due to being kind to myself, not comparing myself to others, realizing there will always be setbacks. Feel free to say come and say hi to me, I’m always free to give advice.
